This is a foundational freediving course perfect for those who have never tried freediving or want to take their snorkeling skills to the next level!
In this 1/2-day course you’ll learn the basic theory and practical skills needed for freediving. We will cover breathing & relaxation of body & mind, equalization, proper technique, safety skills and introductory freedive physiology.
This course is the perfect intro to the sport, and a great foundation for joining the AIDA 2 Star course.
This course provides a solid introduction to the world of freediving.
Appropriate for beginner freedivers, self-taught divers, spearfishers and water sports enthusiasts, this course will establish good technique, solid safety skills and a deeper understanding of freedive physiology.
This course will be taught as a combination of theory sessions, pool sessions and open water sessions over the course of 2.5 days.
We will cover the physiology and physics of freediving alongside learning proper technique and then apply all this knowledge during your in-water sessions in both the pool and the ocean.
Advance your freediving skills to the next level in this intermediate level course designed for those who want to dive longer, deeper and more efficiently!
We will build on the skills learned in the 2 Star course with specific training concepts, detailed theory & knowledge for honing technique and by learning how to set up a dive line system.
We will also focus on furthering your safety and rescue skills to enable you and your freedive community to dive safely and intelligently.This 4-day course will be held as a combination of classroom, pool and open water sessions.
We will cover what happens to our bodies physiologically as we start to go deeper, how to employ specific training techniques for CO2 tolerance & relaxation required at depth, and how to design training for your own freediving progression.
